Well, this latest news confirms what we were saying back in June!
After an unusual summer marked by extreme heat and drought, we decided to begin our harvest on August 24th. We then stopped harvesting for three days following 30 mm of rainfall, which helped to lower the alcohol levels, just as we had hoped. We finally completed our harvest on September 3rd.
This is the earliest we have ever started a harvest in our lives!

We can therefore confirm what we announced in June: our Petit Chablis, as well as our Grand Crus Vaudésir, Valmur, Blanchot and the upper part of Les Clos, were severely affected by the frosts of March 27th and 28th.
Yields were unfortunately very heavily impacted.
On the left bank, our Vaillon yielded around 30 to 35 hl per hectare. But the main issue, despite the magnificent grapes being in excellent sanitary condition, was the lack of juice, a direct consequence of the summer drought.
The 2026 vintage is therefore disappointing in terms of yields. As for the quality, it should be there… but only time will tell.
Next month, we will bottle the remainder of our 2025 Chablis and Vaillon, and by the end of the year, our 2025 Grand Cru.
Let us now hope that 2027 will bring us a more normal year.

Since our harvest in September 2025, we experienced a classic winter with a cool January. February was mild and humid, which caused the buds to burst a little early.
As a result, we had to set up our frost protection candles and heating wires by March 23rd.
On March 27th and 28th, we had to light everything up around 3:00 AM as temperatures dropped to -4°C in certain plots. Unfortunately, we sustained some damage.
Our Petit Chablis, Chablis, and some plots in Valmur and Vaudésir—which were unprotected—were affected. However, Les Clos and Vaillons are safe.
Right now, we are just finishing bottling our small volumes of the 2024 vintage, including our unique Grand Cru cuvée, as well as some Chablis and Vaillon 2025.
As of June 5th, flowering is complete, and we are looking forward to an early harvest in late August or early September.
